In our newest feature, I’m delighted to introduce you to Winterlyn Photography.  Winterlyn is a wedding and portrait photographer based in Chicago.

 Her work is the perfect mix of romantic portraits and authentic moments (and don’t even get me started on her detail shots- they’re perfection!). I could look through her galleries all day! She has a real knack for capturing the moments that portray the emotion of the day.

Here's a quick Q&A with Winterlyn:

 What is your specialty? 

I am a Wedding and Portrait photographer based in Chicago, IL

How do you define your style? 

I shoot in the style of light and airy but I stay on the side of true to color. I love POP in my images. I adore candid images but I specialize in providing my clients with romantic portraits on their wedding day.

How long have you been a photographer? 

I have been capturing wedding clients' memories for 6 years but I have been a photographer for over 20 years!

How has COVID affected your business? 

My business has been affected by COVID like so many other small businesses. I had all of my weddings in 2020 either reschedule or turned into sweet elopements. My clients and I have a great working relationship and I made sure I was there for all of my couples and helped them through this very difficult time in their lives. Whether it was helping them reschedule to a new date in 2021 or 2022 or turning their wedding day into an elopement, it was a team effort. We are all in this together!

What do you like to do in your spare time? 

I am a mom of 4, so I don't have a lot of spare time, especially these days with the kids at home all day and doing e-learning. But when I do get a chance I love to travel and photograph landscapes and do Macro photography. I really enjoy going out into the country and discovering new areas and photographing the beauty that surrounds us.
